Privacy policy
Protecting your data matters to us. Here we explain which data is processed when you visit this website. It is based on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU 2016/679) and the Italian Data Protection Code (Codice in materia di protezione dei dati personali, Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended).

Hosting and server log files
When you visit the website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, date and time, the page visited and your browser type in order to deliver the site and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the host. Log files are stored for the period set by the host and then deleted automatically.
Enquiry form and email
If you use the enquiry form or write to us, your details (travel dates, number of people, preferred room, name, email address, phone number, message) are sent to us by email and used solely to handle your enquiry and send you an offer (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). To prevent misuse, an anonymised value of your IP address is briefly stored on the server.
We keep your enquiry only as long as needed to handle it and any resulting booking, and as required by statutory retention obligations.
Online booking via Booking Südtirol
For online booking we use the booking system of Booking Südtirol, a service of the South Tyrolean Hoteliers and Restaurateurs Association (HGV), Bolzano. The booking system is only loaded when you click “Check availability”. Only then is a connection made to Booking Südtirol’s servers, transmitting technically necessary data such as your IP address.
If you book through the system, your booking data (dates, number of people, contact and payment details) is processed by Booking Südtirol and passed on to us to handle the booking (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Booking Südtirol may set technically necessary cookies. You can find more information in Booking Südtirol’s privacy policy, which is linked in the booking system.
Only with your consent (category “Statistics”) does the booking system also set the cookie bs_widget_promotion. For 30 days it stores how you reached our website (e.g. an advertising campaign or a link with UTM parameters), so that a later booking can be attributed to this source. In that case the booking system also sends anonymous events such as search, start of booking, completed booking with booking value and enquiry to our Google Analytics (see below). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Art. 122 Legislative Decree 196/2003).
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Your browser’s local storage works in a similar way. We use technically necessary storage without consent, because otherwise the website would not work properly (Art. 122(1) Legislative Decree 196/2003). All other cookies, in our case only those in the “Statistics” category, are used exclusively with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Art. 122 Legislative Decree 196/2003).
On your first visit, a banner asks for your choice. “Accept all” and “Reject” are given equal weight; under “Settings” you can choose individual categories. Closing the banner with the X counts as a rejection. Scrolling does not count as consent. We store your choice for 6 months and only ask again after that.

Google Analytics 4
With your consent (category “Statistics”) we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).
Purpose: We want to understand how our website is used in order to improve it and measure the success of our advertising: which pages are viewed, how visitors find us, which device and browser are used, roughly which region (country, city) a visit comes from, and which actions take place, for example a click on the phone number or email address, submitting the enquiry form, opening the booking system and the steps of an online booking.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Art. 122 Legislative Decree 196/2003).
IP address: Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. The IP address is only used briefly to determine the approximate location and is then discarded.
Transfer to the USA: Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. For certified companies, the European Commission has determined an adequate level of data protection (adequacy decision of 10 July 2023, Art. 45 GDPR).
Storage period: The cookies _ga and _ga_32ZGYNS237 are deleted after 2 years unless you remove them earlier. Statistical data in Google Analytics is deleted automatically after 14 months.
Withdrawal: You can withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. We then delete the Google Analytics cookies. More information: Google’s privacy policy.
Fonts
All fonts are loaded from this server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other font provider.
External links
Links to other websites (e.g. Chalet Schmied or Booking.com) lead to external providers. Data is only transmitted when you click the link. The privacy policy of the respective provider applies there.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority; in Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
